Cataract Surgery
Dr. Rasha Ali obtained he Bachelor of Arts degree in English summa cum laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago in English literature and also obtained her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University of Texas Medical Branch and went on to complete a cornea fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Ali treats ophthalmic conditions including, but not limited to, cataracts, corneal disease, diabetic eye disease, ocular surface disease/dry eye, glaucoma, and uveitis. She performs traditional and refractive laser-assisted cataract surgery, corneal transplants including DMEK and DSAEK, and others. She also has a special interest I peri-ocular aesthetic management i.e. cosmetic Botox, etc. Dr Ali believes in a compassionate and individual-centric approach to patient care and enjoys the rapport she cultivates with each of her patients.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, calligraphy, volunteering, and traveling. She has been on numerous surgical missions and speaks Spanish and Hindi fluently.
